Life Legacy

ANGELA MARIE FAULKNER SCHRIEFFER

Angela Marie died in the grace of the sacraments and at peace with everyone she ever loved on August 12, 2013. She spent her last moments in the warm and gentle embrace of her family. Angie was 40 years old.
Angie was born on December 12, 1972. She grew up in Slidell, LA and graduated from Slidell High School. Angie earned her associate degree in Paralegal Studies from LSU and was a relentless advocate for the weak. As an LSU Tiger, Angie bled purple and gold to her final days. Angie was a skilled artist, with a beautiful singing voice that she enjoyed sharing in her many performances at The Slidell Little Theatre. Angie also enjoyed a deep passion and unique understanding of poetry. Her favorite poet was Edgar Allen Poe.
Angie is survived by her three children, Joshua Michael Schrieffer, Hannah Grace Schrieffer and Warren Paul Schrieffer, her parents William Michael & Rita Mae Faulkner, her sisters Sharon Kelly Messina and Sandra Lynn Theriot, her brothers Steven Michael Faulkner and Benjamin Wilson Faulkner, her sisters-in-law Laura Crow Faulkner and Becky Dell Faulkner, her brother-in-law Douglas Charles Theriot, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Angie is also survived by her loving fiancé Brian Walter Yordy of Baton Rouge.
Angela was a loving mother, daughter and sister. She had a kind and open heart, but was intolerant of injustice. It was often said that Angie never met a stranger. This was true to the very end as she would often put aside her own pain to offer care and comfort to the fellow residents she met at Trinity where she spent her final days.
Throughout our life’s journey, God puts in our way many paths that will lead us to the gates of heaven. May all who loved Angie take comfort in knowing that she found the path that God put out for her.
Visitation is scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, August 16, 2013 followed by a Memorial Mass at 12:00 noon at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd in Slidell.
A private entombment at Forest Lawn Cemetery will follow at a later date.
