Abel M. "T-Boy" Brown Jr, 88, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024, in Slidell, Louisiana.

Abel was born June 30, 1935, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Abel Brown Sr. and Henrietta Ducote Brown. Mr. Brown was a U.S. Naval veteran during the Korean War.

In 1955 he married Donna L. Reeve. In 1982 the couple moved to Slidell.

He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Slidell and a member of Slidell Lodge #311 F&AM.

Abel was preceded in death by his wife, Donna L. Reeve; a special companion, Shirley Juneau; and half brother, Raymond Brown.

He is survived by six children, Abel M. Brown III (Suzanne), Henrietta Hollaway, Mike Brown (Deborah), Jack Brown (Dottie), Kathy Perschall (Kenny), Donna Naquin (Bobby); step mother, Anna Mae Brown; brothers, Lionel Brown, John Brown, Patrick Brown, William Brown, Daniel Brown; sister, Virginia Hodges; seventeen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell, Louisiana, 70460, on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am followed by the funeral service at 11:00am.

Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
