Adam Charles Reboul, passed away at his residence on Sunday, June 8, 2025, in Roswell, Georgia.

He was born on November 23, 1977, in New Iberia, Louisiana. He was the first child born to Harvey C. Reboul Jr, and Susan S. Reboul. He attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School and Northshore High School in Slidell, Louisiana, where he graduated in 1995.

Adam then attended the University of Southern Mississippi where he earned his B.S. in polymer chemistry. He furthered his education by attending the University of Florida, where he earned his M.S. in organic chemistry and later his Ph.D. after being a graduate student under Dr. Eugene Goldberg between 2002-2005.

Dr. Reboul spent his entire 20-year career in Ophthalmics. His career began with Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, where he spent five years developing new contact lens formulations and process development. He then spent the next eight years at Benz Research and Development in Sarasota, Florida developing intraocular lenses (IOL's). His next four years were spent at Alcon in John's Creek, Georgia, where he tackled the development of dry eye treatments on the ocular health team.

Dr. Reboul was also the Director of Surgical Research and External Scientific Innovation at Bausch & Lomb Surgical. In this role, he was responsible for surgical product development and technical input on external scientific innovations. He was an inventor and held 18 patents for intraocular lens materials. On November 5, 2024, he was honored as a "Distinguished Lecturer of The Eugene Goldberg Lecture Series, Department of Material Science & Engineering" at the University of Florida.

Outside of his remarkable professional life, he was a husband and father to three daughters. He also loved to ride motorcycles and was an excellent cook. In his free time, this "Serious Scientist" also enjoyed occasional sky diving, white water rafting, and participating in Gladiator human endurance competitions.

Adam was preceded in death by his mother Susan Scruggs Reboul, as well as his grandparents, Harvey C. Reboul Sr, Alma E. Reboul, Robert Scruggs, and Betty Scruggs.

He is survived by his former spouse, Julie Stevens Reboul; his three daughters, Lauren Elisabeth Reboul, Alaina Grace Ann Reboul, Elisabeth Grace Reboul; his sister, Christy Reboul Whiteman (Walter), and his niece, Dakota Leigh Whiteman. He is also survived by his father Harvey C. (Nick) Reboul Jr., his stepmother Kathleen Thibodeaux Reboul, and his nephew Mason Alexander White.

1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA
on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 11:00 A.M.

Visitation at the funeral home on Thursday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time.

Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
