Alan Thomas "Al" Piske, age 71, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024, in Slidell, Louisiana. Born on October 9, 1953, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Al was a longtime resident of Slidell.

A retired electrical and controls technician, Al dedicated much of his time to serving his community. He was an active volunteer at the food pantry and participated in numerous projects at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church. A proud member of the Men's Club and the Knights of Columbus, St. Luke Council 9973, Al was honored earlier this year with the prestigious Knight of the Year award, a testament to his unwavering commitment to faith and service.

Al was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sally Fish Piske; his parents, Marvin Piske and Rosemary DiCarlo Piske; and his sister, Janet Piske. He is survived by his sons, Brandon Piske (Holly) and Ricky Fish (Sheila); his daughters, Tammy Waits (Joe) and Billie "B.J." Aguilard; his cherished grandchildren, Jax Piske, Brittany Billiot (David), Mylie Fish, Jodie Waits, Tanner Waits, and Thomas Waits; and his great-grandchildren, Adleigh Brignac and Masyn Billiot. He also leaves behind his brothers Stephen Piske (Danae) and Robert Piske; his sister Maryellen Lozano (Ken); as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember him.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 23, 2024, at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, located at 910 Cross Gates Blvd., Slidell, Louisiana. A viewing will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Al's life was marked by kindness, dedication, and a deep love for family and community. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
