Albert "Bud" Small, 88, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023, in Slidell.

Bud was born August 21, 1935, in Dayton, Ohio, to Roy Albert Small and Louis May Screatchfield. In 1953 he entered the U.S. Air Force where he would spend the next twenty years. In 1973 he married Sherrie Rainey in Union City, Ohio. In 1974 the couple moved to Slidell.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Eyring.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Sherrie Small; children, Albert Lewis, Dean Lewis, Pamela Eyring, DeAnna Small, Dennie Small, Darrin Small; grandchildren, Alexa Eyring, Elizabeth Small, Isabella Small, Seth Small, Sophia Small, Christian Small; and great-grandchildren.

Graveside Military Funeral Services will be held at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Road in Slidell, on Friday, January 5, 2023, at 11:00am.
