Albert Edward Zehner Jr., 81, of Lacombe, LA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 8, 2022, surrounded by his family.

He was born on September 14,1941 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Albert Edward Zehner Sr. and the late Julie Mae Murphy Zehner.

He is survived by his loving devoted wife Sharon M. Zehner of 58 years; his daughter, Donna Z. Frank (Warren); his son, John M. Zehner (Jennifer); his three grandchildren, Riley F. Huntington (Jason), Julia F. Frank, Carley M. Frank; and his sister Julie Z. Koretzky (Harold).

Al was proud of his Air Force service, serving until 1964, as an instrument technician. He was a graduate of Cor Jesu High School class of 1959. Employed by Western Electric (Lucent) and a member of CWA (Communication Workers of America) until his retirement. He made lifelong friends wherever he went. Al enjoyed running, classic cars, and 50's music. He looked forward to his weekly gatherings with his childhood and work friends. His Air Force buddies were never far from his thoughts.

Al will be remembered for his devotion to his family and as the best husband, father, and grandfather we would ask for. He will be tremendously missed by all who loved him.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 61030 Briar Lake Dr. Lacombe, LA. 70445 on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11:00 A.M.

Interment to follow in Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.

Visitation at the church on Friday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time.
