Andrea Lemoine Young, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
Andrea is survived by her beloved husband, Paul Young III; her children, Brandy Hoffman, Taylor Posey, Alyssa Young, and Alexis Young; and her cherished grandchildren, Ruby Worth, Eleanor Hoffman, and Elias Hoffman. She is also survived by her loving siblings, Steve Lemoine, Rodney Lemoine, Sherry Flores, Lois Osorio, Frederick Evans, and Henry “BJ” Evans.
Andrea was preceded in death by her parents she loved dearly, Theresa and Irby Lemoine. She is also preceded in death by her birth mother, Joanne Powell, who she fortunately reconnected with later in life.
She found joy in the simple things that made life beautiful. Whether she was camping with her family, casting a fishing line, relaxing by the beach, or traveling with her beloved husband, she embraced every opportunity to make memories with the people she loved most.
She had a creative and curious spirit. She enjoyed caring for her tropical fish and potted plants, creating cross stitch, and spending countless hours researching her family's ancestry so future generations would always know where they came from.
Andrea was a hardworking and accomplished woman who dedicated many years of her life to her career. She worked as a Senior Tax Accountant and later served as CFO and Office Manager at John L’s Plumbing, where she was admired for her knowledge, commitment, and reliability.
Andrea was a proud graduate of Airline Park Elementary (Class of 1973), Boyet Jr. High (Class of 1977), and Slidell High School (Class of 1980). She continued her education by attending the University of New Orleans.
Above all else, her family was her greatest treasure. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a loving sister, and a proud grandmother, whose grandchildren were the light of her life. She cherished every moment spent with them, filling their lives with love, laughter, and memories they will carry forever.
Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave so freely and the countless lives she touched will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
