Andrew Jackson Wroten, age 94, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024, surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Jo Ellen Robinson Wroten, his son, Roger Wroten (Jan); and his daughter, Donna Zeringue (Keith); six grandchildren, Farrah (Paul), Fawn (Matthew), Karl, Sean (April), Joey, and Beau. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren Beau, Will, Jack, Macie, Wyatt, and Skylar, as well as a host of other relatives.

Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, Burley A. and Cary Griffin Wroten; his granddaughter, Kelsea; and his three brothers, Ike, Bruce, and Ray.

A native of Mississippi and a resident of Slidell since 1972. Andrew honorably served his country in the United States Navy from 1948 – 1952. He worked as a Geologist for Chevron USA for 42 years. He was a huge fan of major league baseball and played catcher during his college years. Andrews favorite hobbies were watching baseball, playing golf, shrimping, and fishing.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME,1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA, on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, from 9:00am till 11:00am.

Interment will follow with military honors in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.
