Ann Louise LeBlanc Maurer, age 71, of Lacombe, LA, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Leland and Agnes Couvillon LeBlanc; her former husband, Stephen Charles Maurer; and her sister, Elizabeth Ann Sorey.
Ann is survived by her children, Roy Allen Maurer, Sally Maurer Carl (Nathan), Nancy Maurer Lee, Luke Andrew Landry, and Mark Edward Landry; as well as her grandchildren, Aaron Carl, Kylie Carl, Gabriel Jones, Christopher Pahl, Deztiny Holden, Nicholas Holden, Jazmine Holden, and Illysha Holden. She is also survived by her siblings, John Allen LeBlanc (Nancy), Mary Catherine Breau (Mike), and Susan Marie Picard (Rodney), as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A native of Baton Rouge, LA., and a former resident of Pride, LA., and Baywood, LA., Ann resided in Lacombe for the last five years. Her professional career in accounting spanned many years in both the private and public sectors, including Prudential Insurance, Delta Equipment, Louisiana Depts. of Family Services, Health & Human Services, and the Department of Labor, Crown Zellerbach, Rollins Environmental, Postlethwaite and Netterville, as well as Exxon Mobil Chemical.
Ann was a devout catholic and a parishioner of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church. She was also a member of several organizations such as Militia Immaculata, Knights at the Foot of the Cross, America Needs Fatima, and Rosary Armada. She was a former member of the Home School Legal Defense Association and Westside Homeschoolers.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Catholic Funeral Mass at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 61030 Brier Lake Drive, Lacombe, LA on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 11:00 A.M.
Visitation at the church on Friday after 10:00 A.M. until funeral time.
Interment to follow in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.
