Obituary

Annaliese (Ann) Busche Moody of Slidell, Louisiana passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at the age of 77. She was born in Mobile, Alabama on August 24, 1946.

Ann is preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Clyde Moody, Jr.; her parents Fritz Richard Busche and Olga Straub Busche; niece Mary Kathleen Foy; brother-in-law George Cook. Ann is survived by her beloved children Lisa Ann Margaret Moody and William (Billy) Clyde Moody, III; daughter-in-law Anne Marie Park Moody; grandchildren Gabriella Marie Moody and William (Liam) Clyde Moody, IV; sisters-in-law Carolyn Moody Ponce and Peggy Moody Cook; brother-in-law Emiliano J. Ponce; nephews Michael Foy (Debbie Trascher) and George Cook Jr.; grand-nephew Bruce Trascher; friends and caregivers Brittanye Gerald and Trannie Madden.

Ann grew up in Mobile, Alabama where she attended Convent of Mercy High School.  Her first job was as a teller at a local Mobile bank.  Soon after, Ann met her future husband Bill, and he proposed within three days of their first meeting. From that point on they were inseparable, spending the next fifty years together until his passing. The couple lived in various places over the years such as Mobile, Alabama; Rota, Spain; Naval Base Canal Zone, Panama; Houston, Texas; and Slidell, Louisiana.

Ann enjoyed many hobbies such as bowling, playing cards, and watching Hallmark movies. She also loved traveling with her family including trips to Hawaii, cruises to Alaska, and countless visits to Gatlinburg and Walt Disney World.

Ann had many jobs throughout her life, none more rewarding than being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was best known for her kindness, compassion, thoughtfulness, and cheerful attitude no matter what the situation. One of her husband's business partners expressed that "Annaliese had this wonderful kindness about her. She had a natural ability to lessen the stress in any room with her presence". Ann will be truly missed by her family and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Tuesday, July 30th at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Boulevard, Slidell, Louisiana, 70458. Visitation will be from 10AM - 11AM. The Funeral Mass will begin at 11AM, followed by a procession and Interment at the Biloxi National Cemetery for 1:30PM. After burial, there will be an after gathering reception to be held at the residence of Michael Foy, 112 Fischer Drive, Pearl River, Louisiana, 70452.
