Anne Darrington Hancock, 82, of  Slidell, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022.

Anne was born April 16, 1939, in Yazoo City, Mississippi. She was an Ole Miss graduate and had been a resident of Slidell since 1973.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hancock; her parents, Dr Gilruth Darrington and Anne Darrington; a grandson, Christopher Smith; and a sister, Pauline Boyd.

She is survived by two children, Paul Hancock Jr. (Sheila), Anne Smith (John); three grandchildren, Steven Smith, Mallory Hancock, Courtney Hancock; sister, Prudence Stain; and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 1534 Seventh Street, in Slidell Louisiana, on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 2:00pm.

Friends may visit at the church beginning at 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital or the Red Cross.
