Anne Jeansonne, 88, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at home, on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, in Slidell.

Anne was born March 16, 1936, in Murphysboro, Illinois, to William and Jurdie McCauley. At a young age, Anne moved with her family to Texarkana, Texas.

In 1979 she married Jerry Jeansonne, in Pearl River, Louisiana. Anne worked as a police dispatcher prior to starting her career with the phone company, where she worked for 29 years. She was an accomplished seamstress, a wonderful cook, an avid swimmer, sun worshiper, and a beloved wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her son, John Gilley, her brother, William "Sonny" Clyde McCauley Jr., and her sister, Sara Hargrove.

Anne is survived by her husband, Jerry Jeansonne, two daughters, Jan Gilley and Tina Yerry, brother, Jim McCauley; eight grandchildren, Sean Leary, Jasmina Faiella, Eva Ann Faiella, Justin Yerry, Elizabeth Gilman, Catherine Wilson, Madeline Wilson, and Ashleigh Gilley; seven great grandchildren, Misty Bayless, Dylan Leary, Ashley Gro, Alyssa Gilley, Kaylee Houck, Addisyn Houck, and Claire Gilman; and two great great grandchildren, Patience Cook and Kingston Bayless; as well as numerous friends, family members and loved ones.

Memorial Services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell LA 70460 on Thursday, June 27, 2024.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:00am followed by burial at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell.
