Anthony "Tony" Walgamotte, 78, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025, in Covington, Louisiana. Tony was born February 20, 1947, at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, to Vincent "Vic" and Mary Walgamotte. Tony was the owner of The Wallpaper and Drapery Shoppe on Robert Blvd in Slidell, in the 1980s. From the 90's through the early 2000's he spent his days working in the construction industry as a wallpaper hanger, painter and doing light carpentry.  Once retired, he enjoyed building bird houses in his workshop.

Tony was preceded in death by a sister, Mary "Dee" Mullins; and brother, Allan Alfred Walgamotte. He is survived by two sons, Scot Walgamotte (Angela), Kelly Walgamotte (Lana); brothers, Vincent Walgamotte, John Walgamotte, Robert Walgamotte (Mary); five grandchildren, Courtney Walgamotte, Katherine Walgamotte, Hank Walgamotte, Wyatt Walgamotte, and Jake Walgamotte.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West, Slidell, Louisiana, on Monday, June 9, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:00am followed by the funeral mass at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, a charity Tony donated to every year.
