Arnold Charles Dreux, 71, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at his home on June 4, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was a member of the Slidell community for 38 years after residing in New Orleans for nearly 33 years. Arnold was born on October 1, 1950, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Bob and Vilma Dreux.

Arnold was loving, caring, witty and never met a stranger. His jokester personality kept a smile on the faces of all who surrounded him. He had a lasting impression on everyone he crossed paths with and had a way of making them feel that he knew them forever. He was an avid outdoorsman, sports fan and tinkerer. Deer hunting was his passion, but he could often be found in the woods killing more time than deer. His family meant everything to him. He was a loving husband, father, brother, best friend to everyone and a mentor to many.

Arnold leaves behind his loving family and his beloved dog, Irma. His wife, Stephanie Nigro Dreux, Sisters - Roberta McCrea (Mike McCrea), Tina Dreux and Deanne Beals (Ed Beals); Brother - Ryan Dreux (Stephanie Dyer Dreux); Son - Dustin Dreux, Daughters - Arne' Dreux Stegall (Kate Stegall), Shannel Dreux and Aislinn Dreux; Grandchildren – Brett, Codie, Sabie, Dustin Jr., Saige, Shelby, Dreux-Anna, Bo, Dawson, Noah, Kennedy; Great Grandchildren – Ryett, Lennox, Tayson.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Wednesday June 8, 2022 at Northshore Church, 310 Kensington Boulevard, Slidell, La 70458. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with services to follow at 12:00 pm.
