Kay, by everyone’s measure was truly special. She loved everyone and she had no enemies. She was a beacon of hope for everyone in despair, and she freely gave of her time, her sage advice and of herself to anyone in need. She was “Mom” to everyone, and her soothing compassion, hugs, and listening ear provided so much peace to everyone she encountered. She is at peace herself now, in the loving arms of her savior, and the company of her family who passed before her.
The family would like to extend sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff and nurses at Anderson at Summerfield and Heritage Manor, Slidell who took such great care of her with such dignity and respect. The family has opted for a private close-family and friends gathering celebrating Kay’s joyous life and legacy in lieu of a formal memorial service. Kay Cannon was a Christian woman and now lives with her Lord and Savoir, Jesus Christ.
