Barbara Whitfield McNeill-Hill, age 79, a resident of Slidell, Louisiana, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from Covington, Louisiana.

Born on September 7, 1946, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Barbara made Slidell her home in 1981, where she built a life rooted in faith, family, and service. She dedicated nearly 24 years of loyal service to NAVO, retiring in 2011 after 23 years and 11 months. In retirement, she embraced life fully finding immense joy in traveling the world, especially through her love of cruising

A faithful member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church, Barbara cherished her role as an usher on Sunday mornings, where she greeted all with warmth and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, L.D. and Onita Whitfield, and her first husband, Dan C. McNeill.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Randall G. Hill; her devoted daughter, Robyn McNeill-Kimble (Launnie); her loyal travel companion and brother, Danny Whitfield; and her treasured grandchildren: Mallori Magee (Daniel), Matthew Oliver (Jane), Seth Kimble (Gregory), and Michael Kimble (Mia). She was also blessed with four adoring great-grandchildren-Bella, Jakob, Henley, and Christopher Magee-who brought her endless joy.

Barbara also leaves behind a host of cousins and dear friends whom she loved deeply.

Her family-and her cherished teapot collection-were her most prized possessions.

A giver throughout her life, Barbara continued to give in death through the gift of organ donation. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate physicians and staff of St. Tammany Hospital and LOPA for their exceptional care and kindness.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Grace Memorial Church, 58516 Pearl Acres Rd, Slidell LA 70461.

Visitation will begin at 10:00:am followed by the memorial service at 11:00am.
