Barry Richard Norman, beloved son of Richard and Nancy Norman departed this life to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 2,

2024 at his home in Slidell, Louisiana. He will be dearly missed. Barry was 48, a native of Slidell and raised in Our Lady of Lourdes Church Parish. He was a graduate of Pope John Paul II High School and Southeastern Louisiana University where he received a bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.

Barry is survived by his children, Gavin and Saxon Norman; their mother, Gwen Herman Roper; and his sister, Lisa Norman Martinez (Bill).  He is also survived by his nieces, Marissa Martinez Curry (Jerimiah) and Abigail Martinez; his uncle, Gregory Norman (Theresa); aunt, Cheryl Norman Prechter (Mike); cousins, Leslie Norman Muir (Matt), Jason Norman (Patrice), Scott Prechter (Monica); and numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Margie McKinley, Marvin and Zoe Norman; and a cousin Shannon Prechter.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 910 Cross Gates Blvd., Slidell, LA on Saturday June 8, 2024 at 11:00 am, visitation is from 9:30-10:45 with mass to follow.
