Bennie Ray "Ben" Ferrell Jr., 69, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, Louisiana.

Ben was born January 6, 1954, in Biloxi, Mississippi, to Bennie Ray Sr. and Edith Davis Ferrell. He was a graduate of Bay High School in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi and Pearl River Junior College in Poplarville, Mississippi, where he played football. He later acquired his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kennedy-Western University. In 1984 he married Cyndi Bagert in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was employed by Lockheed Martin for over 45 years where he retired as a Senior Manager for Systems Engineering for the External Tank Program of the Space Shuttle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie Ray Ferrell Sr. and Edith Ferrell; and a grandson, Mason James McManus.

He is survived by his wife of almost forty years, Cynthia Bagert Ferrell; five children, Ashley Stockstill (Cayne), Emily Polk, Melissa Weissbohn (Thomas), Jacqueline McManus (Roy III), Stephen Ferrell (Stephanie); two sisters, Brenda Ferrell and Ember Smith; thirteen grandchildren, Jacob Stockstill, Chloe Stockstill, Anderson Polk, Reese Polk, Juliet Weissbohn, Joshua Weissbohn, Roy "Mac" McManus IV, Lily McManus, Gemma McManus, Ethan Ferrell, Lauren Ferrell, Ella Ferrell, Audrey Ferrell; and other beloved relatives.

Funeral Services will be held at Northshore Church, 310 Kensington Blvd, Slidell, Louisiana, on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

Visitation will begin at the church at 9:00am followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00am.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
