Bernadine "Deanie" Campo, 63, a longtime resident of Slidell, Louisiana, and a current resident of Carriere, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022, in Slidell with her family surrounding her.

Deanie was born December 30, 1958, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Donald Campo and Yvonne Avenel Walker.

She was preceded in death by a son, Travis Landry; parents, Donald Campo and Yvonne Walker; two brothers, Donny Campo Jr., and Sedro Paul Campo.

Deanie is survived by her adoring husband, Jerome Landry; a cherished daughter, Midge Chagnard (Chad); a loving daughter-in-law, Alyssa Marr Landry; six beloved grandchildren, Shelbie Berns, Harleigh Berns, Dakota Berns, Marley Landry, Ryleigh Landry and Kaine Landry; and her two sisters, Dawnell Campo and Cheryl Munster.

During Deanie's career, she worked as a Kidney Dialysis Technician for many years and later decided to pursue her nursing career. Deanie became a Registered Nurse in 1997 and it was her greatest accomplishment, besides her children and grandchildren. Deanie was an outstanding nurse and co-worker, truly one of a kind.

Deanie was an incredible daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend; however, she was an even more incredible MeMaw. Deanie absolutely cherished her grandbabies.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Celebration Church, 57030 Allen Rd, Slidell LA 70460 from 4-6 pm. This will be a casual event for family and friends to come and share fond memories and stories of Deanie.
