Billie Mae Cutlip Vicknair, was born in West Virginia on July 22, 1930. She was a longtime resident of Arabi, Braithwaite and finally Slidell, LA.  She passed away peacefully at Heritage Manor Nursing Home on March 30, 2023, at the age of 92.

She was the devoted wife of the late Raymond Vicknair for 56 years.  Billie was a loving mother to Steven Vicknair (Katherine), Janet Imbraguglio (Stephen) and Julie Vicknair.  "Great Maw" was adored by her granddaughter Jennifer, husband Josh and great-grandchildren Colette and Tess. Grandchildren Stephen, Ashley, Jesse and great-grandchild Brianna loved "MiMi" dearly.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister Naomi Griffiths, sister-in-law Marilyn Vicknair and many nieces and nephews.

Billie retired from St. Bernard School Board as a teacher's aide after many years of service. She loved good food, the outdoors, animals, gardening, spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was always up for an adventure.  Her long hugs, sweet kisses and beautiful smile will forever be cherished.  Her family will always remember how much she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles and reading the newspaper. Her precious puppy, Kelli, brought her 16 years of love and companionship.

The family wishes to sincerely thank Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Slidell for superior care, loving employees and bringing immense joy to her day-to-day life during her stay with them.  The family also wishes to thank employees of Notre Dame Hospice for their excellent care and compassion during her final days.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME,

1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Thursday, April 12, 2023, at 11:00 A.M.

Visitation on Thursday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time.

A private interment will be held at a later date.
