Carol Ann O'Brien Brown, 82, of Pearl River, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, while surrounded by loved ones.

Carol was born January 23, 1941, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Robert O'Brien Sr. and Henrietta Kirsch O'Brien. In 1975 she married James Brown. Carol had been a resident of Pearl River since 1979.

She was truly loved and cherished by everyone she touched. A loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her love for all was evident in her smile and caring ways. Always offering to help anyway she could. She had a deep love for her family, which she passed on to all her children. It brought her great joy to hear tales of all of our trips and adventures. She just loved to look at all pictures from them. She would light up when she was visited by her children and grandchildren. She was an avid gardener, and it was evident in her beautiful gardens and orchards. She loved traveling, nature and hiked many trails in her lifetime.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Robert O'Brien, Sr.  and Henrietta Kirsch O'Brien; Daughter, Cheryl Brown; and grandson, Donald Brown Jr.

Carol is survived by her husband, James Brown; children, Donald Brown Sr. (Sue), Dennis deBautte (Cheryl), Dale deBautte (Joelle), Debra deBautte, Kevin Brown, Keith Brown; brothers, Robert O'Brien Jr., Patrick O'Brien Sr.; eighteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West Slidell LA, on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 11:00am.

Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 9:00am.

Burial will be in Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
