Carol Breaud Guidry passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 19, 2026 at the age of 89. She was born in New Orleans on December 26, 1936, relocated to Slidell after Hurricane Katrina, then returned to New Orleans to be closer to family. She was a member of John McDonogh class of 1954, served in the Civil Air Patrol as a teenager, and worked for South Central Bell.

Carol loved her family. She was a Cub Scout den mother and a cafeteria volunteer. She was a very good cook and an excellent house keeper. She loved to collect owls and nutcrackers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson Breaud and Olga Nunez, her beloved husband of 60 years, Leon Guidry, Jr. and her sister, Julie deMahy. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Scott Guidry (Kelli) and Don Guidry (Robin), as well as her most precious granddaughter, Lori Ann Guidry.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial services at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West (in Forest Lawn Cemetery), Slidell, LA on Friday, November 6. 2026 at 11:00am with visitation from 9:00am until service.
