Caroline Kelly Bosch , aged 89, passed away on October 18, 2024, in Slidell, Louisiana. Born on May 17, 1935, Caroline was known for her godly, caring, and loving nature, and her passion for reading and sports.

Caroline had a fulfilling career that included guiding countless visitors at Destrehan Plantation and then, from 1986 to 2005, she co-managed an in-home childcare business with her daughter, Vickie. She was also politically active, especially in initiatives to improve schooling for deaf individuals.

Her education journey began and flourished at St. Stephen Catholic School, where she attended both primary and high school, laying a strong foundation for her diverse interests and community involvement.

Caroline was a devout member of the Church of the Way in Meridian, Mississippi, where she participated actively in community and spiritual activities.

An avid sports fan, Caroline enjoyed cheering for the LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints, watching Major League Baseball (especially the World Series), and engaging in political discussions. Her hobbies also included coloring and various art projects, which were among her favorite ways to express her creative side.

Her personal life was rich with relationships. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James J. Bosch Sr., her parents Maryanne and John A. Kelly, Sr., her brothers Gerald Kelly and Robert L. Kelly, her sister Nancy Kelly Palmer, and son-in-law Francis Anthony Manale Jr.

She leaves behind a legacy through her brother, John A. Kelly, Jr., her children James J. Bosch Jr. (Marci), Vickie B. Laudun (Greg), Carolyn B. Maes (Kenny), Jerri B Manale, and Barbara B. Faulk (Kader); her Grandchildren James Robert Bosch (Jan),  Jamie L. Bosch (Drew), Jessica L. Bosch (Rohn), Ryan J. Bosch, Gregory J. Laudun Jr., Stephen P. Laudun (Amy), John K. Laudun (Erin), Matthew J. Laudun (Cassie), Lisa O. Johnson (Johnathan), Alexis Disney (Caleb), Zach Maes, Francis A. Manale, III, Bradley J. Faulk (Alexis), Leslie B. Calderon (Marcello), Sarahanne Meyer (Butch) and her 26 great grandchildren as well as many extended family and friends.

Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance at Honaker Funeral Home on Monday, October 28, 2024, from 10am until 12pm followed by the funeral service to celebrate Caroline's life and the profound impact she had on those around her.

Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery to follow.
