With deep sadness, we announce the death of Carroll Dwight Cole Sr. Carroll passed peacefully at home, with his wife at his side, on October 29th, 2023, in Slidell, Louisiana, at 2:20 a.m.

Carroll was born December 19th, 1938, in Pampa Texas, He graduated from Shreiner University in Texas, married, and had three sons. They settled in Littleton, Colorado, where he began his career with Martin Marietta in 1968. In 1987, he transferred to the Michoud Space Center in East New Orleans, working on the Space Shuttle External Tank program. He would finish his 28-year career with Martin Marietta/Lockheed Martin in 1996 and retired in Slidell, Louisiana.

Carroll is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Virginia; a brother, Donald; and his three sons, Carroll Jr., Hardy, and Corbette; as well as two stepdaughters, Aimee and Alison; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Solen E and Winnie J Cole.

A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
