Charles "Chuck" W. Himber, 79, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023, in Slidell from prostate cancer.

Charles was born April 27, 1943, in South Bend, Indiana, to Charles and Patricia "Pat" Himber, and was raised in the Chicago, Illinois area until the age of 12 when his parents moved the family to Slidell.

In 1960 Chuck married the love of his life, Diane Marie Clement.

He was preceded in death by his son, David Wayne Himber; a sister, Julie Fowler; and two brothers, Thomas Himber and Johnny Himber.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 62 years, Diane Clement Himber; four children, Charles "Bob" Robert Himber, William "Billy" Clement Himber (Lisa), Pamela Himber Rogers (Tim), Richard Parrish Himber (Alicia); ten grandchildren, Harley Himber, Riley Himber, Brittany Hendricks, Dillon Himber, Charles Tyler Himber, Benjamin Himber, Ross Himber, Nicholas Himber, Olivia Rogers, Luke Rogers and three great-grandchildren. Chuck was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Chevron Oil Company for 33 years. He retired as a Construction Foreman.

Funeral Services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell, LA, on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 am followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am.

Burial will be at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
