Charleton "Charlie" Michael Laurent was born on December 5, 1982, to Madeleine LeFrere Laurent and Jimmy Laurent Sr.  He was 39 years old, a native of Lacombe, La., and a resident of Lawrenceville, Ga., for the past 10 years.  Charlie was called to his eternal rest on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

Charleton Michael Laurent loved to hunt and fish with his Dad and brothers. He was an excellent catcher in Recreation ball and could throw a jet down to second base before the runner even had a chance to steal. Charleton and longtime friends, Chris, Geoffrey, & Joey, and many others had their own style of communication on the field. He also played varsity baseball, football, wrestling, and even played on the golf team at Fontainebleau High.

Charlie is survived by the love of his life, Susan, children, Cayden, Charli-lisa, Immanuel, Leyla, and Charleton Jr.; his parents, Madeleine and Jimmy Laurent Sr., siblings Jimmy Jr. (Spring), Samuel (Jennifer), and Kim; his grandmother, Gloria C. LeFrere; nieces and nephews Sophia, Tristan, Chandler, and Juliana Grace, his in-laws Hok Sreng & Kea Khoun, sister-in-law Susie (Suzanne), and brothers-in-law Hak (Ging) & Jerry (Ryan).

He was preceded in death by his brother Chandler, grandparents Shelton LeFrere, Sr., George & Helen Laurent; and his longtime friend Francis "Boy Blue" Williams, Jr. and Nevoughn Reid.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 28088 Main Street, in Lacombe, Louisiana, on Saturday, April 2, 2022.  Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 9:00am followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00am.

Burial will be in LaFontaine Cemetery on Hwy 190 in Lacombe.
