Claude Behnke "Bo" Wolcott Jr., passed away on February 22, 2024, playing his final round of golf. He was at one of his favorite courses in his beloved community of Slidell, LA. He was 66 years old.
Bo is preceded in death by his father, Claude Behnke Wolcott, Sr. He is survived by His children, Laura Granger (Andrew), Ben Wolcott (Lacey), and Madison Wolcott. He absolutely adored his three grandchildren, Braeden, Caroline, and Kenli. He is also survived by his mother, Annie Wolcott; his brother, Tim Wolcott; his sisters, Ann Badon (Tim) and Jane "Beth" Wolcott. Not to be excluded are his cousins, nieces, and nephews that Bo always held close, along with many other loved ones in his life.
Bo was born on May 27, 1957. He had deep roots in Slidell, LA where he was raised. He was an accomplished multi-sport athlete at Slidell High School and was elected class president all four of his high school years. He graduated Magna Cum Laude at Louisiana Tech University where he attained a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering. Later in his career, Bo also studied at UNO to become a Certified Public Accountant.
He started his thriving career as a petroleum engineer for Mobil Oil then eventually transitioned to Business Manager of the State Supreme Court with his CPA. His final role in management at Ankor Energy combined all his professional skills and experience. He retired in 2019.
A devout Catholic, he loved the Lord, golf, and local sports (Go Tigers!). Upon retirement, he was able to spend more time with friends and loved ones. His family is forever grateful for this time as Bo loved his family, friends, and classmates with all he had. He was always the life of the party. The family greatly appreciates your support during this difficult time.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte Street, Mandeville, LA, 70448 on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 12:00 P.M.
Visitation at the church on Wednesday after 10:00 A.M. until funeral time.
