Clint was born April 10, 1937, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Clinton W. Schwaner Sr. and Marie Blanchard Schwaner, whom he is preceded in death by. Clint proudly served and retired from the United States Air Force Reserve.
Clint was a loving and devoted brother, husband and father. He is survived by his brother Tom (Janet) and sister Pat (Floyd).
In 1981 he married the love of his life, Barbara, and the two lovingly shared their lives together for 41 years. They were so proud of their family including 8 children, 21 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Clint owned and operated Schwaner Sales Company proudly representing and distributing Vigo Imported Products and Rex Spices. Clint was known for his larger-than-life personality. His laugh quite literally filled a room, and his jovial demeanor never met a stranger. Most of all, Clint was abundantly proud of his family. He was his children and grandchildren's' biggest fan - traveling to sporting events across the state and beaming with pride to introduce himself to others. His cheers and words of encouragement could be heard across state lines. Clint loved sports either playing golf, playing softball, umpiring softball, or watching every game. His greatest achievements were being Coach, Umpire, Referee, Equipment Manager, Concession Stand Manager, and Board Member in the early development years of the local biddy baseball and football leagues. He held numerous leadership roles in the successful development of St. Margaret Mary Parish School and Church in the late 60's and 70's. Clint lived his life to the fullest. He had a heart of gold, loved deeply, and will be sincerely missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Catherine Cardona Schwaner, his son, Michael Schwaner, and daughter, LeeAnn Tullis.
