Clyde William Burrell Sr., of Slidell, LA, was born on May 23, 1924 and passed away on May 16, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his wife Gwendolyn S. Burrell, his parents; James Lewis Burrell and Lillie Mae Burrell, brothers and sisters; Velma Lucille Barrett, Dave Serilla Burrell, Stella Elizabeth McNeal, Allen Leon Burrell, Herman Edward Burrell, Elsie Marie Jones, James Willis Burrell, Nancy Katherine Burr, Ollie May Yarborgh, and Arthur Elise Burrell.

Clyde is survived by his son Clyde William Burrell Jr., three daughters; Belva Myles (John), Cynthia Marie Cornibe (Robert), and Diane Sheila Braun, two grandsons; Robert Lee Cornibe Jr., and Joshua Noel Cornibe, three granddaughters; Mary Courtney Burrell, Ashley Nicole Walker, Angelia Casey Braun, three great grandsons; Robert Lee Cornibe III, Johnathan Bernard, and Ronnie Walker, four great granddaughters; Karen Diane Morrow, Irene Vivian Conteras, Cynthia Evelyn Burrell, and Madelyn Elizabeth Warlow. He is also survived by his future granddaughter Kristen Lynn Petty, his future great grandson; Conner Allen Petty, and last but not least Harper Nicole Petty.

He also leaves behind two sisters Eudora Elizabeth Deangelo, Wilma Irene VanWinkle, and 100's of nieces and nephews.

Clyde was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He served during World War II on multiple ships including the USS Devastator, USS Gosper, USS Samaritan, and the USS Indus.  Upon completion of his military service his professional life consisted of many years of working as a carpenter. Clyde was also a Life Member of the V.F.W.

on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 11:00 A.M.

Visitation on Friday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time.
