David Christopher Donner, 38, passed away at his home in Algiers, a district of New Orleans, Louisiana, on Saturday, February 3, 2024.

David was born April 25, 1985, in New Orleans.

David was a general construction contractor in flooring and roofing for 17 years in Algiers.  He also worked previously at Upchurch Floors in Robbins, North Carolina for two years, and Little River Golf & Resort in Carthage, North Carolina, where he assisted in the construction of the clubhouse and condo facilities.

David had a strong New Orleans heritage of four generations and loved his family.   He spent his working years living between Moore county, NC and New Orleans, LA.  He was well liked with many friends.  He was also a talented construction worker and artist.

He was preceded in death by his sister Danielle Leigh Donner Stodard of Algiers; and his father, David W. Donner of Algiers.

He is survived by former wife Jacqueline Monica Gilmore, of New Orleans, LA.  Also by his mother, Lorna Lassiter (Christopher G. Lassiter) of Carthage, NC; grandmother, Shirley Donner of Algiers, LA; brother, Jeremy Allen Earwicker, of Huntsville, AL; children, Faith Donner, of New Orleans, LA, Makaylah Donner, of Carthage, NC, David Donner Jr., of New Orleans, and Knowledge J. Donner, of New Orleans; nephews, Carter Earwicker, Cain Earwicker, both of Huntsville, AL; nieces, Teresa Donner Crochet (Parker), of Robbins, NC and Alexus Stodard, of Slidell, LA.
