David Lawrence "Trumpet Man" Laudun, entered into eternal life on Monday, September 12, 2022, at his home, at the age of 74.

Beloved husband of Charmaine Kellett Laudun for 25 years.  Devoted father of Adam Lawrence Laudun and Amy Claire Laudun Starrett (Steven).  Loving grandfather of Cameron, Caden, Steven Jr., Jaxson and Slaten.  Step-father of Benjamin A. Battistella, Sean Michael Battistella, Tracy James Jewell and Robert Allen Jewell.  Son of the late Nell Sturgill Laudun and the late Leroy Felix Laudun.  Brother of Laura Laudun Schwehm (Ronnie), and the late Randall Clifford Laudun.  Also survived by many other loving family and friends.

A native of New Orleans, LA. and a resident of Slidell, LA.  He was an avid fisherman and one "helluva" trumpet player.  In high school David played the French horn and the trumpet.  The trumpet was his first love and once he picked it up he never again put it down.  Encouraged by his family and friends and his love for music, his trumpet became his soul and his solace.  He was at his best with his trumpet in hand.  He brought joy to so many through his music, as well as his sense of humor.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME,

on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 11:00 A.M.

Interment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

Visitation on Tuesday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time.
