Dave Laughery, 85, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, Mississippi.

Dave had recently moved to The Claiborne Assisted Living Facility to be closer to family. He is survived by his daughter Linda Holland (Daryl) of McCall Creek, Mississippi; son Michael Laughery (Dinah) of Austin, Texas; grandsons Daniel Holland (Michelle); Jackson and Carson Laughery; granddaughter Rachel deCesare (Christopher); and two great-grandchildren.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, David W. Laughery, Sr and Jeanette Laughery as well as his loving wife of 36 years Linda Dirden Laughery.

A native of Detroit, Michigan, he lived in McDonald PA. and attended Allegheny College. Dave spent his professional life as an outstanding salesman working for numerous companies, most notably Wallace International Silver Company and the floral wire service Teleflora. Dave was a member of SPEBSQSA Barbershop Harmony Society and sang in several choruses since 1964. He was a 32nd degree Mason earning the title of York Rite Knight Templar. Dave was a member of First United Methodist Church of Slidell where he enjoyed singing in the choir.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Masonic and Memorial Services at First United Methodist Church,

433 Erlanger Street, Slidell, LA, on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 11:00 A.M.

Visitation at the church on Saturday from 10:45 A.M. until funeral time.

A private interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
