David Lee Wilson, 65, of Mandeville, Louisiana, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, August 15, 2026, in Covington, Louisiana.

David was born March 15, 1961, in Monrovia, California, to Kenneth Lee and Nola Lee Wilson. While enlisted in the US Air Force as a civil engineer, he met his future wife, Suzanne Laurie Logsdon, at Rhein-Main Air Base in Germany, where they were both stationed. They were married in 1983.

After retiring from 20 years of service in the Air Force, David moved with Suzanne and their family to Slidell, Louisiana in 2001. They later settled in Mandeville, Louisiana.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Suzanne Laurie Wilson; six children, Jordan Emery Wilson (Taylor), Lindsay Beth Shoop (James), Katie Lee Cavalier (Stephen), John David Wilson (Amy), Robyn Frances Wilson, Jacob Steven Wilson (Savannah); thirteen grandchildren; sisters, Cynthia Oakes, Lovette Demary; and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. The memorial service will be held at Community Baptist Church, 59413 Badon Rd, Slidell, LA 70460, at 12:30 P.M.

His burial, with military honors, will be held at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell at 11:00 A.M.
