Dawn Ethel Nelson, age 59, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023, peacefully in her sleep.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas R and Barbara A Nelson. "Aunt Dawnnie" was a human resource director in the healthcare field and was a loving aunt and friend. In life, she enjoyed music, books, baking and the beach. She was an avid supporter of animals and leaves behind her precious pup, Lele. She will be missed by her brother, Thomas, sister, Christine, nephew Thomas A and her nieces, Taylor, Gracie and Samantha. She has special appreciation for Randy, Stephanie and Logan Merrill.
