Deborah Jean West 69, of Slidell, Louisiana passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, at her residence.

Deborah was born February 9, 1954, in Meridian Mississippi. In 1969, she met the love of her life Billy, and they were married in 1970.

She is preceded in death by her parents Bobby Dwight Brand and Claudia Imogene Baty Brand.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Billy West, her son; Jeffery West and his wife Melissa West, as well as their three children, Alyssa "Dee Dee" West, Jaden West, and Colton West. Her youngest son Gregory West and his wife Christina West, as well as their three children Kaylee West, Landen "Tank" West, and Brock West. She also leaves behind her great grandchild, Luka louis Alexander; three brothers, Harold Brand, James "Jimmy" Brand, and Terral "Terry" Brand along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Debbie brought so much love and joy into this world. She was the calmness and the rainbow you would see after a storm. She was one of the strongest women, a true fighter. Everyone that came into her life knew that she was special. Her passion was her family. She loved her husband and her children dearly, but her pride and joy were her grandchildren. The bond she shared with them was indescribable. She laughed hard and loved even harder. Another one of her passions was sports, she loved to watch the Saints and watch her grandkids play ball. She was always the grandkids biggest fan. Her faith stood strong, and her presence will linger on with the ones she loved the most. Forever and always!

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA, on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 12:00 P.M.

Visitation on Monday after 10:00 A.M. until funeral time.
