Dena M. Yax, affectionately known as Dee, passed away on October 3, 2024, at the age of 55. Born on February 7, 1969, Dena spent her final years in Slidell, Louisiana.

As a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Dee devoted her career to caring for others, making a positive impact on the lives of many. However, her proudest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren. Dena's legacy lives on through her beloved family, including her children Darra Wallace, Ashlee McNab, Anthony Yax, and Hope Yax as well as her cherished grandchildren: Trenton McNab, McKenzee McNab, Forest Yax, Summer Yax, Blake Wallace, and Callie Wallace.

Dena was known for her bright personality, which brought warmth and excitement to those around her. She will be remembered not only for her achievements but also for the love and care she showed to anyone who may have needed it. Her spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell, La 70460, on Wednesday November 6, 2024, at 11:00am.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am. until funeral time.

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
