Denise Marie Robertson, of Pearl River, LA, born June 3, 1971, passed away peacefully at her home on April 30, 2024, leaving behind a profound legacy of love and devotion.

She is survived by her husband, Lamont Robertson, and the joys of her life, her daughters, Jessica Monroe (Brian), Kylie and Payton Robertson, as well as her adored granddaughter, Sadie Dorion. She is also survived by her father, William Luther (Jennifer); her sisters, Stacy Davis, and Kori Luther (Chris); her aunts, Gwen Venezia and Gaynell Collins, Gayle Schoonover; her uncle, Ricky Luther, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Linda Luther and many other family members that she loved and adored, whose reunion with her brings so many smiles in this time of sadness.

She was born and raised in Slidell, Louisiana, and was a proud graduate of Slidell high. Denise found her home in Pearl River where her dedication extended beyond her family, as she served as a paraprofessional at Sixth Ward Elementary, impacting the lives of many. Denise had an amazing heart; she was a giver, selfless and compassionate, earning admiration and respect from all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Denise faced numerous health challenges, she confronted each obstacle with remarkable courage and resilience.  Despite enduring all that she went through, Denise's infectious smile never faded, her faith in better days ahead never wavered and she never once stopped being a mama bear.  Even on her rough days she would still find the strength to be there for her children.

She was a light in our lives that we did not know we needed.

In celebrating Denise's life, let us be reminded of her spirit of generosity, her faith in God, her love for her family, and her joy in being outdoors on the river. Denise found peace on her houseboat, surrounded by the beauty of nature. Denise's legacy will continue to inspire us all to be kinder, more loving, and ready to lend a helping hand.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME,

1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 2:00 P.M.

Visitation on Friday after 12:00 P.M. until funeral time.

Interment will follow in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.
