Denise G. Widas, 64, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, in Picayune, Mississippi.

Denise was born August 30, 1959, into a military family in Kittery, Maine, to James and Jimmie Nell Gibson. In 1978 she became an LPN.  In 1994 she married Karl Widas Jr.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Eric Gibson, and a greatgrandchild, Braxton Eastland.

She is survived by her husband, Karl Widas Jr.; seven children, Tim Widas (Regina), Fred Widas (Eileen), Willis Tisdale, Misty Vinet, Melanie Mohr (Chris), Talana Scully (Brent), Maryanne Collins (Keith); brother, Terrance Gibson; sisters, Jo Ann Jordan, Teresa Jones; numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell LA 70460 on Wednesday, May 22, 2022.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon followed by the funeral service on 2:00pm.
