Donna Raye Pitre Haas, 83, a longtime resident of Metairie, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026, at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie.

Donna was born December 28, 1942, in Ville Platte, Louisiana, to Marshall and Bridget Pitre. Donna graduated from Ville Platte High School where she was an excellent student and Clarinet player. In August of 1964, she married Douglas Haas in New Orleans.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Norwood Pitre, James Pitre, Geneva Babb, Lessie Letzinger, Joy Fontenot, and Delores Kostick.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas J. Haas, two children, Christopher R. Haas, Suzanne R. Haas; two grandchildren; and other relatives.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church 4921 West Metairie, Metairie LA 70001, of Friday, September 25, 2026.

Visitation will begin at 10:00am followed by the Catholic Mass at 11:00am.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell.
