Doris Jean Hardie, 87, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, in Slidell. Doris was born on April 13, 1939, in Joplin, Missouri. Before moving to Louisiana in 1979, where she worked as an executive secretary in the Engineering Department at Martin Marietta, she lived in Southern California. She is survived by her two children, Jeff and Wendy; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and younger siblings,Shirley and Bob.. At the family’s request, a private burial ceremony will be held.
