Dorothy Louise Beckerman Olson, 82, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022, in Slidell, La. She is survived by her daughter Julianna L. Olson.

Dorothy was born in 1940, in Chicago, Illinois to John and Dorothy Beckerman. One of five children, and foster sister to numerous others; she is survived by her older brother John Jr, and younger siblings; Grace Stiak and George Beckerman. She was preceded in death by her younger brother Richard Griffey, and sisters Mary Margaret Koch and Sue Ogata.

In 1984, she married her high school sweetheart, Robert G. Olson, in Slidell where they lived happily until his passing. Dorothy was a ciritical care nurse at Slidell Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 1995.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Christ Episcopal Church, 1534 Seventh Street, Slidell LA 70458, at 2:00pm.
