Douglas "Skip" Scogin Jr, 78, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025, in Slidell.

Skip was born May 27, 1947, in Port Arthur, Texas.  When he was fifteen, the family moved to Slidell. After attending Southeast Louisiana in Hammond, Skip became an accountant for the U.S.D.A.

He was a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Skip is survived by his sister, Susan F. Scogin.

Funeral Services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, on Friday, September 5, 2025.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am followed by the funeral service at 11:00am.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
