Earline Elenora Banner, of Slidell, LA, was born January 12, 1936, and passed away on March 20, 2025, at her home amongst her loving family.  Her life was a testament to the power of positivity, the strength of perseverance, and the joy of living a life filled with passion and purpose.

Earline was the beloved daughter of the late Geneva and Norman Dorsey, and the cherished sister of fifteen siblings.  She was united in holy matrimony to the late Maurice Austin Banner and to this union eleven beautiful children were born.

She was a Nurse's Aide at Slidell Memorial Hospital for over ten years, where she received numerous awards, also worked at Southeastern Hospital and NorthShore Psychiatric Hospital.  She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary since 1975, where she faithfully served the Catholic Church.

We remember Earline not with sadness, but with gratitude for having had her in our lives.  She will forever be remembered as a shining light of love and kindness by her family, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Catholic Funeral Mass at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 58203 Highway 433, Slidell, LA 70460 on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 11:00 A.M.

Visitation at the church on Thursday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time.

Interment will follow in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

Following the interment, a repast will be held at the St. Genevieve Church Parish Hall building.
