Edward Haas, age 88, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and a resident of Pearl River, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024, in Metairie, Louisiana.

Edward was born on April 13, 1936, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Arnold A. Haas and Palma J. Neely Haas. He graduated from Jesuit High School Magna Cum Laude in 1953 and joined the United States Air Force in 1957. He was honorably discharged in 1962.

Edward walked across the United States for approximately 10 years before becoming the caretaker of Arnold A. Haas and Palma J. Neely in the early 70's, after returning to Haaswood/Pearl River, Louisiana. He took over the Haas Estate administration in 1981 following the death of Arnold A. Haas and maintained that function until his death on October 26, 2024.

Edward is survived by two brothers, Doug Haas, Gordon Hass; a sister, Janice Kastren; and other relatives.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 11:00am, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd, in Slidell, Louisiana.

Burial will be in Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell.
