Ellen Turner, age 73, beloved wife and friend, passed away on May 29, 2026, in the comfort of her home in Slidell, La., surrounded by her family. Ellen was born in Laurel, Mississippi, on January 12, 1953.

While working at South Central Bell, Ellen met her future husband, Bob Turner. They had many years of joy together. Ellen retired from South Central Bell.

Ellen enjoyed traveling with her husband and many friends. She was especially fond of her time spent with her "Birthday Girls" group. She and her husband, Bob, enjoyed volunteering at their church, Our Lady of Lourdes in Slidell.

Ellen was preceded in death by her father, James, and mother, Nell Montgomery. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert, her sister Margaret Montgomery, stepdaughter, Terri Cobb, brother-in-law, John Schenck and wife Linda; granddaughters, Cody Gannon, Casey Tusa; and her great grandchildren, Bradley Gannon and Ella Parker Tusa. Ellen will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 400 Westchester Place, Slidell, La. 70458, on Friday June 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m.
