Eloise Colmer Lout

Eloise Colmer Lout, age 87, of Kenner LA, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Ochsner Hospital of Kenner. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

She was the beloved wife of the late Willie Marland Lout, and daughter of the late Marvin and Pauline Kelley Colmer. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Mary Elizabeth Owen and Marvin Colmer Jr.

Eloise is survived by her two children, Robin Lout Strahan (Joey) and Marland Lout (Linda); three grandchildren, Joel Strahan, Sydney Strahan, and Nicholas Lout; as well as one great grandchild, Emma Lynn Shafer.

A native of Carthage, Texas and a long-time resident of Slidell, LA. Eloise attended Panola University in Carthage, Texas where she met her husband, Willie. She was a member of the Krewe de la Boutte Dominique, where she served as Maid and Queen. Eloise worked for many years in Slidell as a professional Tailor. She was also an avid Sportsman who loved fishing and hunting. She was also a thriving member of the Nouveau Marc independent living community.

Eloise leaves behind to her family and friends, a legacy of unconditional love and gentle wisdom.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation & Funeral Services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST, Slidell, LA on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M. until funeral time. Rev. Gary Collins, officiating.

Interment will follow in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.
