Emile Joseph "E.J." Fayard, 73, a longtime resident of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, in Slidell.

Emile was born March 4, 1952, in South Mississippi, to Frank and Gertrude Fayard.  In 1978 he married Sandra Harrington in Slidell. E.J. loved fishing, crabbing, and woodworking.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Fayard, Lionel Fayard; and one sister, Carol Fayard Barrack.

E.J. is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sandra Fayard; two children, Kevin Fayard (Heather), Jennifer Fayard (Shann); six grandchildren Aurea McCool, Kaylas Fayard, Brenna Fayard, Mikayla Maricich, Renea Maricich, Arabella Fayard seven great-grandchildren Zoe, Alice, Sophia, Asher, Mathias, Rainie, Waylon; one sister, Karen Landry; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
