Eric Anthony Capello, beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend, took his final ride to join his father in heaven on October 27, 2024, at the age of 52. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on January 7, 1972, Eric lived life on his own terms, finding peace in the open road, a deep appreciation for rock and roll, and a dedication to those he loved.

Eric was a man of strong convictions and gentle heart, happiest with the hum of his motorcycle beneath him and his favorite rock classics in his ears. A proud and devoted family man, he gave his love freely and fiercely to his wife, Kristine Capello, and was a constant source of strength and humor for his children, Katy and Devin Capello, and his stepdaughter, Jessica Mina. Eric adored his grandchildren; Levi, Blake, Alice, and Warren and found joy in celebrating their milestones.

Born into the Catholic faith, Eric embraced the grey areas of life, choosing to live with authenticity, passion, and a sense of freedom that inspired those around him. He expressed a deep gratitude to the Lord for each new day. His family and close friends will carry forward his legacy by embracing that same spirit and zest for life.

Eric is preceded in death by his father, Lynn Capello. He leaves behind a loving family, including his mother, Laura Capello, whose lives are forever enriched by his presence.

A celebration of Eric's life will be held for close family and friends, honoring his unique journey and the memories he leaves behind. Eric's family invites those who knew him to remember him by living with open hearts, fearless spirits, and, whenever possible, the wind at their backs.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST Slidell, LA on Tuesday November 5, 2024, at 11:00 A.M.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. until funeral time.

Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
