Ethel "Dolly" Paraninfo, age 86, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, in Slidell, Louisiana. Born on October 8, 1938, in New York, Dolly lived a life full of love, kindness, and service to others.

She is survived by her loving children; John Preiser, Thomas Preiser (Monique), and Darlene Pedarre (Herbert). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren; Nicole Bender (Philip), Jolie Preiser, Chase Campbell (Maci), Herbie Pedarre III (Sarah), and Shaun Pedarre (DeAnn); her great-grandchildren, Noah, Caleb, Simon, Zane, Tateum, Haley, Chelsea, Zach, and Faith; her sister, Jane Brownell; and numerous great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

Dolly was preceded in death by her beloved son Dennis Preiser, great-granddaughter, Ruthie Pedarre, and daughter-in-law, Heather Katz.

Dolly had a gentle spirit and a generous heart. She found joy in baking, crafting, and caring for her many plants. Her warmth and nurturing nature shone brightly during her years working in the cafeteria at Abney School, where she took great pride in helping and connecting with the children.

She touched countless lives with her kindness, her sense of humor, and her unwavering devotion to family and community. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Dolly's memory to perform a simple act of kindness in her name – just as she so often did throughout her life.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Graveside Service in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. West, Slidell, LA on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 10:00 A.M.
