Ferris E. Bolin, age 89, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025, in Slidell.

Ferris was born October 19, 1935, in Red Wing, Minnesota, to Francis and Agnes Bolin.

In 1953, Ferris enlisted in the United States Air Force.  In June of 1957, he married Glenda Sue St. John in Alamogordo, New Mexico. In 1972, the family moved to Slidell when Ferris was transferred to the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility, from Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico.

In 2000, Ferris retired from Civil Service.

Ferris was preceded in death by his wife 63 years, Glenda Sue Bolin; a son, Edward Seth Bolin; and one sister, Fern Koestner.

He is survived by a daughter, Deirdre Bolin Elfers; two grandchildren, Russell Bolin-Elfers (Shannon), Shane Bolin-Elfers; two great-grandchildren, Olivia Genevieve and Wyatt St. John Bolin-Elfers; brother, David Bolin; five sisters, Rebekah Baumann, Barbara McHenry, Beverly Nelson, Bonnie Johnson, Lisa Kircher; sister-in-law, Kim E St. John-Riffle; other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell LA 70460, on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.

Visitation will begin at 10:00am followed by the funeral service at 11:00am.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell.
